18 Oct 10 Ways Christian Moms Can Earn Extra Money
Today we are talking about the Proverbs 31 woman. She had a lot of irons in the fire! Talk about a busy woman.
The Bible tells us she was into real estate (she considers a field and buys it), gardening (she plants a vineyard), fashion (she makes linen garments and sells them), helps in the community, and she looks over her household.
TIP: The Proverbs 31 woman has help with her household! Read my post Get Help Around the House! to figure out how you can delegate responsibilities.
The Proverbs 31 woman helps to bring an income into her house. She’s wise to not put all her “eggs in one basket”. We can do the modern version of what she did with less income investment.
As Christians, we talk a lot about what to do with finances and how to be responsible, but we don’t talk a lot about how to make extra money. That’s where this blog post comes in!
Ideas for Multiple Streams of Income
The Proverbs 31 woman has several different streams of income, and you can, too!
Instacart is a company that will pay you to pick up and deliver groceries for people. You can set your own hours and accept or decline any orders that come in.
You go to the store, gather the groceries, pay with a card provided by Instacart, and then deliver the groceries.
It’s not available in every area, but check to see if your location is a match.
Start a Blog
There are a bunch of resources to start a money making blog. This is a good option that doesn’t require you to leave your house.
I have a sheet called ‘Your Passion, His Purpose’ that not only gives tips to make an income, but also an impact.
If you don’t want to leave your kids, you can offer to babysit for other people who work a day job.
You can even use this as an opportunity to swap services. A hairstylist friend of mine swaps services such as coloring someones hair in exchange for babysitting.
Pet Sitting/Pet Boarding
If you don’t enjoy watching other people’s children, pet sitting might be right for you. You can do pet boarding for people who are on vacation or out of town.
Upwork is a website that allows you to sell your services. You can offer to schedule social media for people, transcribe audio, or anything else.
Most jobs are paid per hour, but some are per job. I’ve personally used Upwork to hire people to help with my blog.
Make sure that you add that you’re a Christian mom. I personally look for people like that because I want them to understand what I’m all about.
If you know another language, you can work in translating or teaching people English online.
Become a Virtual Assistant
You can answer phone calls for people from home, set up their blog posts, or do anything else an assistant does right from your home.
Sell Creative Services on Fiverr
If you are creatively inclined, you can use Fiverr to sell your services. You can create logos or graphics for individuals and companies.
Sell Your Own Products on Etsy
If you crochet or sew, you can list products online to create a side income. The fees for listing are fairly minimal, so check out this option.
A friend of mine sews and sells baby products in her shop, Hines Kreations. Check out her shop!
Take Stock Photos and Sell Them Online
If you enjoy photography, you can sell your pictures as stock photos. There are companies that will buy your beautiful pictures or sell them for you and give you a royalty.
I use Light Stock to find religiously inclined pictures. You can try selling there.
Become a Mystery Shopper
A friend of mine gets paid to be a mystery shopper. She reviews stores based on her shopping experience there.
Try some of these options to create more than one source of income. This will help you be less stressed and more secure.
