Busting Diet Myths
Today I’m busting a common diet myth. I often hear people say, “Ashley, as soon as I get to my goal weight, then I’ll be able to finally stop dieting.”
Or, “I know that when I lose this weight, then everything else will fall into place.”
We have believed the myth that being thin is the key to ALL life’s problems, but it just isn’t the truth. Even if you get to your “goal weight” you will have to work to maintain it if it’s not lost naturally.
I’m a Christian teacher, but more importantly, I’m a recovered dieter and emotional eater and I want you to know that there’s a better way.
For years I jumped from diet to diet trying to figure out something that would finally help me feel good in my skin.
It felt like my life was great and the only thing missing was a thin body. What I didn’t realize was the damage that dieting was causing to my body, my mind, and my soul.
Love the Lord Your God With…
We are commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and body. God wants us to love Him with everything. Including what we eat and the way we exercise.
And God has created with an innate ability to manage your weight on your own. No diets. No gimmicks.
We’ve put our trust in diets for FAR too long. And it’s time to let go of our idols (yes…that’s what they are) and take hold of God’s truth.
Working with your body, not against it
You can bring the Lord into your health. You can start working WITH your body instead of against it.
