28 Apr Don’t Settle for Drive Thru Christianity
Have you settled for drive-thru Christianity?
It’s true that we get what we put in. When you invest in a high quality meal at a 5-star restaurant, you’re going to have a better experience than the drive thru at McDonalds. But what about in our spiritual lives? Are we settling for the quick and easy, drive thru devotion time? Are we just reading our Bibles so we can check it off our To Do list? Or are we sacrificing time and effort to invest in our relationship with the Lord?
Here are some tips for deepening your relationship with the Lord:
- Start small. Don’t get overwhelmed by trying to spend two hours with God everyday. Start with ten minutes and build up from there.
- Pick a specific time and stick to it.
- Create a place you want to spend time in. Have a journal, tissues, music, and a blanket handy.
- Start with a Bible Study on a subject you’re interested in.
Are you struggling with food?
If you’ve been struggling with your health and you wonder how the Lord and your Christianity fit into your fitness and eating, then can I suggest investing in a program that helps you transform from the inside out? If so, then I want to share about my latest program, it’s a 90 day program for women just like you called FAITH FOOD FREEDOM.
In this program, I share the step-by-step way I invited the Lord into my health, completely changed my mindset and perspective with food, and said goodbye to emotional eating FOREVER. I traded all my diets and overeating in for freedom in Christ. Now I enjoy eating foods that heal my body, I exercise when I want to (and not because I have to), and I’m living a life of peace that doesn’t revolve around food. And I want to share all of that with you so you can experience that freedom, too!
