03 Jan Help Your Kids Learn God’s Word (Free Printable!)
There are so many things I want to teach my kids! I want them to be responsible, I want them to be kind. But there is one thing that I’ve learned in my life that I absolute want to teach them.
The most important thing…
Our kids need to learn their ABCs and 123s, but the most important thing you can teach your children is to learn the Word of God and put it into practice. Period. For them to make it in this world, kids need the power of God’s Word as much as adults do.
I incorporate this into my day-to-day life with my own boys. When they fight, I could yell at them to stop (which TBH happens sometimes), but I try to remind them about Ephesians 4:32. They have already put learned this verse, so I’ll start them off by saying, “Boys, remember, we need to be kind…” and then they finish the verse by saying, “…to one another.”
It may be a subtle difference, but what I’m reiterating to their hearts is that they should be kind for a specific reason. They should be kind, not only because I tell them to, but because it pleases God. Because that’s what His Word says to do.
You may have young children and think that they are capable to memorizing Scripture. Give them some credit! Break down verses into phrases and into wording that they’ll understand. Find a kids translation of the Bible and read with them. You’ll be surprised and how quickly they pick it up and learn it. It’s all about starting early to teach them how to hide God’s Word in their hearts.
I want to help you help your kids hide God’s Word in their heart! So…I created nine Memory Verse flashcards that you can print off, and read with your kids. Just register for a free member account HERE.

Our Free Facebook Bible Study read through Jesus Calling last year and I picked up a kids copy of Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions For Kids for my children. They loved having me read the one page to them every day! My boys are toddlers, so I had to improvise some of the words, but this tool would be create for ages 8 and up!
